Basuki Submits Parking Attendant Recruitment to Parking UPT

Jakarta Provincial Government intends to recruit the jobless as a parking attendant. But it is still awaiting installation of electronic parking terminal (TPE) machine at some points.

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama disclosed his party has entrusted such recruiting to the Parking Technical Management Unit (UPT).

"If they are not honest, just fire them. But recruit all first. About Parking TPE matters, we will discuss it after TPE machine is installed," he stated, at City Hall, Tuesday (10/25).

13 TPE Machines at Jl H Juanda Officially Operated

It is regarding takeover of parking management by Jakarta Transportation Dept. Nevertheless, the existing parking attendant remains get job.

"We'll take over all parking lots, but we still recruit the existing parking attendant there," he stated.

Basuki added, it also opens jobs for the public. Parking attendants who recruited earn a salary in accordance with the Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP). They are also listed in BPJS.

"We also recruit illegal parking attendants. We'll employ them properly. If you work with us, you will get high salary and BPJS, even your children will also get KJP," he disclosed.
